The Davie Clan | Tampa Bay Area Family Photographer

When I spoke with Dan on the phone and he told me that he wanted to surprise his wife with a family photo shoot, I knew this was going to be something special.  It was just weeks before they would pack up and leave this place they've called home for the past 8 years, headed off on the next leg of their journey called life.  He wanted to remember his family as they were, here in Florida.  The place where they got married, bought their first house and had their two adorable boys.  There were roots planted, running deep and not to be forgotten any time soon.

Just thinking about the moment when I showed the Davie's their photos fills every inch of me with goosebumps.  I looked up at Lena, cheeks wet and tears running freely, "Those are my boys!" she said.  Whew, gets me every time. What a beautiful and wonderful family to have had the opportunity to work with.  I'm sad we got to meet as you depart this sunny land, but so glad that we did.  Wishing you nothing but the best on your new adventure together.

Stephanie | Tampa Bay Area Portrait Photographer

There's a caveat, or maybe a warning, to doing a photo shoot with me.  It's a pretty good bet that by the end of the day, we'll become great friends.  I'm sure it won't always happen like this, but it makes my job that much sweeter when it does.  And last night's impromtu post-photo-review dinner was no exception.

Oh, and want to bring a girlfriend along on the shoot?  I'll make them hold my reflector and we'll become friends, too (thanks Kristen!).

I had so much fun planning and styling and getting cell phone pics from the dressing room on a friday night for this session.  Stephanie was a blast to work with and so amazing to shoot.  I just adore her (and her photos, too).  And my current obsession?  Her smile.  Love that smile!  Hope you enjoy some favorites, hand-picked by Stephanie herself!
